Wage: $18.27-$23.08 per hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours:
3:00pm-11:00pm

QPS Employment Group presents an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Technician. This role is a 2nd shift, direct hire position.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery according to established operational protocols, including safety regulations.
  • Comprehend manufacturing machinery, processes, and oversee equipment functionality.
  • Accurately document and maintain necessary records; ensure all paperwork is completed promptly and adheres to company standards.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace by fulfilling assigned cleaning duties; complete the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) as required.
  • Follow safety and security protocols, take appropriate actions when necessary, and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Arrive punctually for work, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Participate in all company-sponsored training programs, including safety training and annual development sessions.
  • Gain proficiency in production areas and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a flexible approach towards improvements and changes.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding personnel, safety, and equipment maintenance.
  • Achieve proficiency in production and safety protocols (accident/injury reporting, emergency procedures, equipment operation/maintenance, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's Degree or higher (preferably in electromechanical or mechatronics); two to three years of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Candidates must possess strong motivation, organizational skills, time management, documentation, and communication abilities (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent attention to detail and the capability to multitask and prioritize are essential.
  • Ability to apply common sense and skills in fulfilling responsibilities and operating equipment in accordance with company production, personnel, and safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with steam boilers and plant air compressor systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions, operation manuals, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethics (punctual, reliable, and trustworthy).
  • Capability to write simple correspondence.
  • Must be able to pass any required examinations necessary to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Must be able to manage conflict professionally and constructively.
  • Willingness to accept and provide feedback, contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Proven skills in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems are required.
