The Role

The Southeast Director of Business Development‘s primary focus is expanding Imagen’s footprint of practices through acquisition of new partner practices. The Southeast Director of Business Development will be responsible for sourcing prospects, pitching Imagen’s value proposition, shepherding prospects through diligence and negotiation, and maintaining positive relationships beyond the transaction. Must possess the ability to identify opportunities to find prospective partners, build relationships with doctors and sources of leads, and communicate Imagen’s value proposition and differentiating characteristics in a compelling manner.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for generating leads using existing partner relationships, industry partnerships, and other sources.
  • Articulate Imagen’s value proposition and areas of competitive differentiation in a compelling manner.
  • Maintain relationships with prospects through diligence and negotiation process through closing.
  • Proactively identify and address areas of concern, objections, and obstacles to a prospect accepting Imagen’s offer and/or closing.
  • Accurately articulate Imagen’s value proposition and service offering to appropriately set expectations for incoming partners.
  • Maintain relationships with existing partners, industry relationships, and other sources for long-term, sustainable lead-generation.
  • Work closely with the senior management team, major stakeholders, and customers to address potential new strategic initiatives, tactical and operating issues in a forward-thinking manner.
  • Attend tradeshows and other various events.
  • This position requires 50-75% travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a Management, Finance, Healthcare, Business, or related discipline. Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.
  • Ten (10) years minimally of experience in healthcare or medical sales or business development.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, maintain relationships, articulate a complex value proposition in a compelling manner.
  • Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work remotely effectively as required.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
  • Effective communication skills- oral, written, presentation, active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
  • Critical thinking skills including solid problem-solving, analysis, financial modeling, decision-making, planning, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness.
  • Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies in a virtual working environment, fully utilizing technology and communication tools.
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook and Office skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel.

Salary to be determined by the applicant‘s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
