We are in search of a Contract Technical Services Specialist (TSS) in Stamford, CT (In-office 5 days) to oversee the provision of standard End User Computing (EUC) services to users. This is a 3 month contract role reporting to the IT Operations Director. The TSS will ensure the support, maintenance, and configuration of the EUC environment, guaranteeing that all incidents, requests, problems, and changes are managed efficiently and effectively through established processes. This role demands and requires technical expertise and exceptional customer service skills to guarantee a favorable and efficient technology experience for end users. $42.00 - $46.00 hourly rate. (Standard business hours Mon - Fri)


Responsibilities:

  • Lead EUC initiatives and spearhead the delivery of EUC technological services to enable the business community to fully leverage these technologies.
  • Provide technical support and advice to users on EUC hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and handling escalations.
  • Serve as a proactive and accessible point of contact for end users, promptly addressing, investigating, and resolving technology-related queries, questions, and issues.
  • Work in close partnership with various third-party IT service providers, including our managed IT services provider, IT departments of affiliate companies, and multiple SaaS providers, to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Engage with others within IT to address technical issues, fulfill service requests and manage changes.
  • Function as the principal communication channel for IT, ensuring user requests and inquiries are recognized and addressed appropriately.
  • Oversee the management of EUC hardware lifecycle, encompassing procurement, assignment tracking, refresh schedules, and decommissioning.
  • Administer mobile devices and subscriber lines.
  • Manage and procure software licenses, assigning licenses, and overseeing deployments.
  • Collaborate with HR to facilitate the joiners/movers/leavers (JML) processes, including conducting IT orientations for new employees.
  • Support conference room systems and AV components for regular meetings and special events, such as Town Halls.
  • Implement Incident Management, other core IT processes, and contribute to process enhancement.
  • Work with the Facilities Manager to oversee conference room technology, door access systems, cameras, printers, server-room environment, and other facility-related issues. Investigate and propose solutions for technical challenges, and assist in the execution of IT projects and initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Over 5 years of experience in IT service delivery, ideally in a comparable role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft EUC stack (Windows, Outlook, Teams, O365).
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing EUC desktop environments.
  • Experience in hardware lifecycle and asset management.
  • Skilled in mobile device and subscriber line management.
  • Proficient with Teams-based conference room technologies and audio-visual systems.
  • Experience in managing Entra, Intune, Azure, and other SaaS tools is preferred.
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN, wi-fi, telecom circuits, and components.
  • Knowledge of server room management and maintenance.
  • Awareness of endpoint security best practices and general Information Security principles.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, reverse-engineering, and investigative skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
