SUMMARY

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Senior Specialist, Social Media & Communications for our client in Dallas, TX. This role involves onsite expectations, possibly once a week, and definitely when the SVP is in town.


We are looking for an individual with 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, particularly with corporate social media experience. Agency social media experience is acceptable but the emphasis is on corporate experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for content creation, light graphic design, video creation, and community management.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Social Channel Management: Manage the company’s presence on various social networks, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn.
  • Content Curation: Source or create digital content that is engaging, relevant, and in line with the brand image.
  • Community Management: Respond to comments from followers or stakeholders on owned channels and online review sites to build relationships and foster engagement. Manage in-bound communications through the corporate inbox and other digital platforms.
  • Monitoring and Analytics: Track conversations related to the brand on social media sites to gain insights into stakeholder attitudes and preferences.


DUTIES:

  • Create and manage social media strategies, campaigns, and initiatives that reflect the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Develop and execute social media content, including light design work.
  • Shoot and edit digital images and videos.
  • Assist with external and internal communications and coordinate with the marketing and creative teams as needed.
  • Build engagement and manage responses to negative comments online.
  • Provide portfolio of work with resume submission.


SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), Canva, WordPress, Cision, social media platforms, Vimeo, and mobile communication.
  • Strategic application of creative thinking and synthesis of information from multiple sources.
  • Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and engaging appropriate resources.
  • Strong knowledge of digital and corporate communication concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to create complex documents, spreadsheets, and graphics/digital videos.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple formats.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal/listening skills.
  • Ability to create a collaborative working environment among stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and results-driven work ethic.
  • Ability to track, measure, and report relevant metrics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.


EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital communications, communications/public relations, journalism, creative writing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in digital social media strategy and management in an agency or in-house corporate setting.
  • B2E, B2B, and B2C social listening experience is a plus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Onsite presence required approximately once a week and during SVP visits.
  • No travel outside the Dallas metroplex required.
