A Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for expanding and maintaining an assigned book of commercial business. With a strong focus on building client relationships, this position ensures clients have the proper coverages, price points as well as recommendations for additional coverage(s) to best insure their business. This professional is charismatic, with problem-solving and analytical skills to gather available information on the client to advise them appropriately. The Commercial Lines Account Manager works under the supervision of the Sr. Business Acquisition Manager.
Responsibilities
- Communicate insurance products & services while recommending appropriate coverage(s) based on client’s needs
- Negotiate coverage pricing and conditions for clients, adhering to underwriting authority and guidelines; this includes but is not limited to requesting coverage additions, changes, quotes, etc.
- Prepare insurance policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations
- Responsible for the marketing/quoting process for both new business and account renewals
- Record all required data into the management system to maintain current file data on assigned accounts
- Develop and present risk management assessments to advise clients on ways to minimize and avoid claims
- Remain educated on all insurance coverage provisions, the overall insurance industry, regulations, etc.
Qualifications
- P&C (Property and Casualty) Licensed CSR
- Minimum of 1-year insurance sales or customer service experience
- Experienced within an insurance agency is preferred with knowledge of all lines of commercial insurance coverages including (but not limited to): commercial property, general liability, workers' compensation, umbrella, passenger accident, warehousing
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired
