ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all team members.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Performs team member relations investigations and intake sessions as needed.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Assists HRIS with data entry and reporting as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies and practices.
  • Performs special projects, research and analysis with continual and ongoing research to build and maintain progressive HR programs and policies.
  • Provide communication and support to benefits team to assist GSR team members with questions.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed.
  • Coordinate various audits including but not limited to I -9's, work cards, benefits, etc.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Help support HR administrative operations.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management and team members.
  • Enjoys working with and assisting people.
  • Excellent grammar skills, organization and communication skills required
  • Understand written and verbal commands, questions, and instructions from team members.
  • Work under pressure to complete deadlines; basic math skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Courteous and professional etiquette.
  • Requires knowledge of computer programs including: Word, Excel, Windows, & HRIS systems.
  • Bilingual abilities preferred.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

  • Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with the Nevada Gaming Board & Alcohol Awareness Card.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree with a focus in HR is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years Human Resources Management experience in employee relations is required.
  • Labor Relations experience a plus.
