Petroplan is recruiting for a Scheduling Specialist, Atlantic Marketing & Trading, to join a global energy company focusing on oil, gas, and new energies. The role reports to the General Manager of the Atlantic region and is based in Houston, Texas.

Position Overview:

This role is primarily responsible for scheduling crude oil and gas movements across pipelines and vessels in the Atlantic Basin, coordinating with both customers and internal stakeholders. Success in this role requires experience in petroleum crude oil and natural gas scheduling operations, risk management, and a solid understanding of marketing, technical, and commercial issues within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage nominations, confirmations, imbalances, and other related activities for both crude and gas operations in the Atlantic Basin.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of commercial contracts and midstream agreements to identify key scheduling levers.
  • Monitor contract performance and provide advice to Marketing Managers on optimizing contracts and minimizing execution risks.
  • Communicate any production or logistical issues that may affect deliveries and implement effective crisis management strategies during supply chain disruptions.
  • Conduct future scenario planning and share insights with Marketing Managers to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Prepare presentations and other internal communications for senior leadership to support and guide internal decision-making.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to and properly executed.
  • Update and analyze various reconciliation files to ensure volumes correspond to production.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in petroleum crude oil and natural gas scheduling operations and risk management.
  • Knowledge of marketing, technical, and commercial issues related to the industry.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
