- Market Reporting:
The editor will significantly enhance market coverage for Atlantic LNG, particularly in the Americas. This includes proposing modifications to assessment specifications and methodologies, actively participating in benchmark initiatives, leading essential projects, and ensuring adherence to editorial standards. Additionally, the editor will relay feedback from market participants to the global LNG team. - Content Creation:
The editor is expected to establish themselves as a thought leader in the Atlantic LNG market, focusing on the Americas. This involves crafting insightful commentaries, in-depth articles, blogs, and strategic outputs, ensuring comprehensive coverage of market-related news angles while collaborating with the Platts content team. - Industry Engagement:
The editor will spearhead market engagement with both existing and potential sources in the Americas, working alongside the Platts Structured Market Engagement (SME) team and the Atlantic LNG team. Effective engagement is vital for staying attuned to market developments, enhancing methodology, and fostering creative storytelling. The editor will cultivate new market sources, maintain relationships with current contacts, and ensure compliance with Platts editorial standards. Presentations at industry events and travel to meet sources may be required.
Impact of the Role:
This position is pivotal in developing LNG benchmarks in the Atlantic region and articulating S&P Global's role in the local LNG markets. The editor will engage with senior external stakeholders to strengthen S&P Global's presence in the Americas LNG market. As LNG markets undergo significant changes, this role offers a front-row seat to witness market evolution and contribute to critical news and price assessments essential for the global LNG market's daily operations.
Compensation and Benefits:
S&P Global anticipates a base salary range for this position between $49,400 and $89,400, influenced by geographic location, experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base compensation, the role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and various S&P Global benefits.

- Experience in market reporting, analysis, business development, or consultancy within the Atlantic Basin energy sector (LNG, oil, gas).

- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- Quick adaptability to shifting market conditions.
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
