Job Title: Trade Compliance Specialist

Texas Pipe & Supply is seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant trade regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the company's trade compliance program, ensuring all exports and imports are properly documented and comply with US Customs Regulations and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Analyze import and export documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare necessary export documentation, including SED, CI, P/L, and Carnets, to ensure compliance with US Government regulations and corporate policies.
  • Track and report the status of all exports to ensure smooth transactions and provide Customs necessary documentation as required.
  • Track and maintain records and reports of all imports.
  • Support functional groups, including Customer Service, Business Development, Operations, Sales Administration, and Shipping, regarding export and import of materials and products.
  • Analyze customs duty exemptions and free trade agreements to reduce costs of shipments.
  • Draft and monitor 232 Exclusions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience with the EAR, US Customs, HTS, Schedule B, etc.
  • Experience dealing with freight forwarders, customs brokers, supply chain, purchasing, and logistics with previous experience in creating and reviewing export/import documents.
  • Customs Broker license preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work in an office environment.
  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
Special Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Occasionally required to travel within and outside the Continental U.S.
