Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Reporting:
    The editor will significantly enhance our coverage of Atlantic LNG markets, particularly in the Americas. This includes proposing adjustments to our assessment criteria and methodologies, actively participating in benchmark initiatives, leading essential projects, and ensuring adherence to editorial standards. The editor will also relay feedback from market participants to the global LNG team.
  • Content Creation:
    The editor is expected to establish themselves as a thought leader in the Atlantic LNG sector, focusing on the Americas. This involves crafting insightful commentaries, in-depth articles, blogs, and strategic content while ensuring comprehensive coverage of market-related news in collaboration with the Platts content team.
  • Industry Engagement:
    The editor will spearhead market engagement with existing and potential sources in the Americas, working alongside the Platts Structured Market Engagement (SME) team and the Atlantic LNG division. Effective engagement is crucial for staying attuned to market shifts, enhancing methodology, fostering creativity in storytelling, and maintaining open communication channels with market sources. The editor will also identify and cultivate new sources while nurturing existing relationships, ensuring compliance with Platts editorial standards. Additionally, the editor may be required to present at industry events and travel to meet sources when feasible.

This role is vital in advancing LNG benchmarks in the Atlantic region and articulating S&P Global's influence in the Americas LNG market. As LNG markets undergo significant transformations, this position offers a unique opportunity to witness and report on market evolution firsthand, contributing to critical news and price assessments essential for the global LNG market's daily operations.

Compensation and Benefits:

For candidates in the US, the anticipated base salary range for this position is $49,400 to $89,400, determined by geographic location, experience, skill set, and qualifications. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
