In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Provide advice and counsel to management to ensure compliance with all state and federal employment laws.
  • Keep informed of new employment state and federal legislation.
  • Provide advice and counsel on issues related to employment laws, such as the FLSA, FMLA, ADA, PWFA, EPA, USERRA, state and federal wage and hour laws, state and federal employment discrimination statutes.
  • Advise business units on matters such as wrongful discharge avoidance, employment agreements, policies, and other employment law matters.
  • Provide representation for the businesses before state and federal administrative agencies, including the EEOC, DOL, and state and local human rights agencies
  • Cost-effectively manage employment litigation and collaborate with outside counsel
  • Train management employees and lead training workshops on employment topics
  • Approximately 15-20% travel
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • JD degree and member of the bar in at least one state.
  • Relevant years of work experience in employment law with a law firm or as in-house counsel commensurate with the level of this position.
  • Able to travel 15-20% to meet business needs.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

5+ years of employment experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel, the ability to analyze complex situations and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
