Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Permanent Civil Litigation Counsel to become a valued member of our prestigious legal team.

This role presents an excellent chance for an individual eager to make a meaningful impact and enhance our firm's standing for excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid history of managing complex litigation matters, including personal injury defense and insurance litigation. Your responsibilities will include representing clients in legal proceedings, drafting legal documents, and providing sound legal counsel. You will also oversee depositions, jury trials, and various facets of civil litigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in court or before governmental bodies.
  • Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil or criminal litigation.
  • Select jurors, argue motions, engage with judges, and question witnesses throughout trial proceedings.
  • Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  • Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal appellate courts.
  • Analyze potential case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents.
  • Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for case presentations.
  • Advise clients on business transactions, liability claims, and legal rights and obligations.
  • Gather evidence to formulate defenses or initiate legal actions by interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain case facts.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • Admission to the State Bar.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a litigation attorney.
  • Demonstrated expertise in personal injury defense, insurance litigation, and civil litigation.
  • Extensive experience in conducting depositions and jury trials.
  • Exceptional legal writing skills and proficiency in drafting legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Thorough understanding of court procedures and regulations.
  • Proven expertise in trial practice.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities.
