Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team, leading sales activities related to division System Drives portfolio to meet division’s sales and market share growth target within third party Marine market. Target customer segments are System Integrators and OEM manufacturers. The successful candidate will be accountable to meet division’s sales, market share growth and profitability target in the assigned industry, leads System Integrator and OEM account capturing and development ensuring there is target account plans and sales pipeline monitoring in place. They will also ensure together with division sales management that there is required sales and domain support capabilities, as well as the front-end sales resources within appropriate Sales organizations in place.The work model for the role is: hybrid ; #LI-HybridTravelling is required up to 30% for this position.The role is contributing to the Motion System Drives division globally.You will be mainly accountable for:•Sales Strategy & Growth: Developing and implementing sales strategies for the Marine industry, aiming to achieve market share, orders, and profitability targets. Driving top-line growth within the assigned market segment.•Customer & Market Engagement: Capturing and maintaining System Integrator and OEM accounts, understanding customer needs, and implementing suitable products and business models. Building relationships with key customers and external influencers.•Project & Performance Management: Identifying major global projects, ensuring proper business plans are in place, and monitoring performance through appropriate metrics. Participating in the negotiation of legal and commercial agreements.•Team Development & Communication: Developing a high-performing segment network, ensuring effective communication of ABB’s value proposition, and reinforcing ABB’s visibility through market segment communication and participation in trade fairs.

Qualifications for the role

  • Proven experience with System Integration and OEM market in Marine, Industrial and/or Infrastructure segments.
  • Experience in Sales and/or Business Development is essential.
  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience in working in a multinational environment and in a matrix organization.
  • Good networking and communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and influencing skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
