The TCG team has a proven track record of investing in, restructuring, and growing businesses. Key to this success is its unique approach of heavy operational involvement and support provided to each portfolio company.TCG is seeking a Senior Vice President of Portfolio Company Finance (“SVP”). The SVP reports to the Portfolio Company Operations Group and is principally responsible for monitoring day-to-day finance activities across multiple portfolio companies, including financial reporting, cashflow management, and compliance. Additionally, the successful candidate will partner with relevant stakeholders in the design and execution of strategic initiatives that generate long-term enterprise value.Responsibilities:Serve as TCG’s representative to the portfolio company on day-to-day finance-related activities and act as an effective liaison between portfolio company executive management and the Board of DirectorsMonitor financial performance, including KPIs, working capital, capital expenditures, debt covenants, taxes, budget, as well as general finance and accounting operations at each portfolio companyPartner with CFO at portfolio company to implement best-in-class cashflow management, accounting controls, and treasury operationsParticipate in weekly cash flow review meetings and manage rolling 13-week cash flow forecastDrive standardization in accounting, reporting, and financial operations and deliver ‘best-in-class’ tools, techniques, and templates to portfolio companiesEvaluate portfolio company's financial systems and participate in implementation or upgrade of systemsParticipate in annual portfolio company audits and tax reporting and ensure they are completed in a timely manner. Effectively communicate to the audit committee on material findings/issues.Drive timely financial reporting from portfolio companies, including BOD presentationsProvide regular MD&A on portfolio company performance to support TCG’s internal and external stakeholder reporting requirementsRequirements:BA in Accounting or FinanceMBA preferredCPA license12+ years progressive finance and accounting experience, recently leading the finance function of an organizationprivate equity or PE-backed company experience preferredPublic accounting experienceExcellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skillsProcess-driven individual with a track record of implementing process improvementsExceptional Excel-based financial modeling and budgeting skillsStrong capability with MS Office suite, Powerpoint specificallyExperience with and working knowledge of SAAS-based accounting / ERP solutions, e.g., NetSuiteThe following questions are entirely optional.
