POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Vice President of Project Financing, you will be responsible for managing the execution and delivery of over $3 billion in new financing initiatives for CIM's diverse infrastructure projects and associated portfolio entities. This role necessitates ongoing collaboration and communication with financial institutions, external consultants, and various internal teams, including capital markets and executive leadership within our portfolio companies. Key responsibilities include conducting market assessments, performing due diligence on projects or companies, and maintaining oversight throughout the duration of each financing arrangement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assist in developing comprehensive financial models in collaboration with CIM Investments and Portfolio Management.
- Prepare detailed information memorandums outlining potential investments for prospective lenders, comparing various proposals, and providing recommendations to senior management.
- Conduct thorough research on capital markets related to infrastructure asset acquisitions, company buyouts, and financing transactions.
- Ensure adherence to CIM Capital Markets policies and procedures, including lender outreach, proposal requests, term sheet negotiations, and due diligence processes.
- Engage in strategic discussions regarding capital market requirements and keep management informed about ongoing capital market activities.
- Analyze asset-level budgets and forecasts, gaining insights into business plans to align with fund-level strategies, and perform financial analyses as necessary to support capital market initiatives.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking or finance, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, project financing, or transaction advisory.
- Experience across various infrastructure sectors, including digital, renewable energy, waste and water management, transportation, and digital infrastructure is preferred.
- Extensive experience in financial modeling is essential.
- In-depth understanding of infrastructure capital markets.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to establish and meet realistic deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong drive for results, a process-oriented mindset, and excellent organizational and communication abilities.
