About the Role

Transom Capital Group, a leading private equity firm, is seeking a seasoned finance professional to join its Portfolio Company Finance team as a Senior Vice President. This key role will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of multiple portfolio companies, ensuring effective financial management, and driving strategic initiatives to generate long-term value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), working capital, capital expenditures, debt covenants, taxes, and budget.
  • Partner with portfolio company CFOs to implement best-in-class cash flow management, accounting controls, and treasury operations.
  • Drive standardization in accounting, reporting, and financial operations across portfolio companies.
  • Evaluate and implement financial systems and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in annual portfolio company audits and tax reporting, ensuring timely completion and effective communication with the audit committee.
  • Provide regular management discussion and analysis (MD&A) on portfolio company performance to support internal and external stakeholder reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • BA in Accounting or Finance.
  • MBA preferred.
  • CPA license.
  • 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with recent leadership experience in the finance function of an organization.
  • Private equity or PE-backed company experience preferred.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Process-driven individual with a track record of implementing process improvements.
  • Exceptional Excel-based financial modeling and budgeting skills.
  • Strong capability with MS Office suite, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAAS-based accounting/ERP solutions, such as NetSuite.
