Boston, Massachusetts, United States Gupta Media Full time

Gupta Media was founded 20 years ago on the idea that advertising could create huge leverage in our client's business. Our early work was focused on the entertainment industry, specifically live events (Boston Calling, among others) and recorded music (Sony Music, Universal Music & Disney are all clients). We have dramatically grown our work with big brands (Amazon, Fender) and sports brands (LA Galaxy, Washington Commanders). We have a global client base with a growing local roster across B2B and B2C brands across campaign, content, and branding assignments.

We are seeking a Director of Client Services & Growth with a robust background and at least 10 years of experience in media, creative planning/strategy, integrated marketing, and business development within an agency setting. In this role, you will be responsible for spearheading our business development initiatives, managing our RFP response processes, and overseeing client service management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the business development process to identify new opportunities and drive growth.
  • Management and mentorship of the Client Service team of managers and specialists, ensuring they are well-prepared to take over client relationships post-pitch, leading to effective campaign execution and client satisfaction.
  • Partner with Account Directors to drive the RFP response process for both new and existing clients from end to end, including assembling the pitch team, developing strategy, and leading the pitch presentation.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge in performance marketing, digital media planning and buying, and creative campaign development to craft compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients, understanding their needs and how Gupta Media can offer superior value.
  • Collaborate with Gupta's senior management team to align business development strategies with overall company objectives, working closely with our Director of Communications on special initiatives to drive growth.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and the competitive landscape to inform and adapt strategies.
  • Ensure seamless integration and handover of new clients to client service teams, facilitating a smooth transition and setting the foundation for long-term partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in performance marketing, media, creative, or similar fields with demonstrated prior business development experience in an agency environment.
  • Has a proven track record of seeking out and generating business growth opportunities with potential and existing clients.
  • Experience building and maintaining meaningful and productive working relationships, — externally across a wide network of clients and partners, and internally by guiding cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Deep understanding of industry trends and developments and their impact on the business.
  • A strategic thinker, leader, and problem-solver; a self-starter who works well in a high-pressure, fast-paced, always-changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of commanding a room and connecting 1:1 across all levels within an organization.

At Gupta Media, we work hard every day to be better at all that we do — and that includes fostering a diverse and inclusive community that encourages and respects a broad range of backgrounds, experiences, and ideas. Join us and help us find the next great idea.

Gupta Media is an office-first (with flexibility) organization.
