Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
Job Summary: The College Experiential Learning Coordinator organizes and oversees experiential learning opportunities (co-curricular learning experiences, corporate-sponsored projects, service learning, select student research, etc.) for the college.
Additional Department Summary: Plans, develops, and executes experiential learning and student success programs. Supports signature learning experiences at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including Manderson Case Team and Culverhouse's First Generation Community. Collaborates extensively with others in the college (academic and administrative departments, faculty/staff community, etc.) to support the success of targeted student populations and their Culverhouse/UA experience. Manages program events and travel, program budgets and reporting, and related scholarships funded by philanthropic giving. Provides on-going support and mentoring to students involved in experiential learning and student success programs.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge: Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills. Event planning skills. Strong partnership-building skills. Strong academic and success coaching skills. Ability to be self-directed with an entrepreneurial spirit for program development and expansion.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in higher-education or business and two (2) years of experience in a student support role in higher education.
