Position summary

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr Engineers, Systems Architecture located in Frisco, TX will plan, design, and implement networked systems of medium to large scope and moderate to high complexity.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

configure, troubleshoot, migrate, and test network devices; work on project such as technology changes within the platforms, new implementation guidelines and/or standards; provide analysis for switching, interconnection, national platforms and backbone facilities; prepare test plans including test cases and expected results; conduct test case execution and record actual results, reporting all defects or issues and monitoring to ensure all defects are adequately resolved; conduct project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons; provide customer solutions which encompass a broad range of engineering disciplines and technologies; provide project management functions to develop and implement complex network plans to include technology changes within the platforms, new implementation guidelines and/or standards; provide implementation and configuration support to ensure successful device and network installs, moves, adds, and changes; prepare and review of Method of Procedure (MOP) documents; create, modify, and maintain network related documents such as licenses and network diagrams. Specific Skills Requirement - must have educational or professional experience in: Experience in configuration, testing, and operational support with multiple firewall architectures, including Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Fortinet, and Palo Alto. Experience in configuration, testing, and operational support with multiple IP routing and switching architectures, including Telco (Service Provider) networks as well as large data centers. Experience implementing real-world network security best practices, including demilitarized zones, deep packet inspection, and multi-factor authentication technique Experience in feature development from concept through delivery in production, including requirements collection, architecture design, test plan development and execution, and successful feature deployment Experience with development of load balancer solutions for a large production network, including proficiency in MS Office products, project planning and management solutions. Experience with network monitoring and operation tools, including Splunk and Qradar for Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto network routers, switches, and firewalls. Experience and education requirements: PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience. ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. Additional: Location: Frisco, TX This position is eligible for the employee referral program.
