This position provides office/building support, administrative support/business function, website maintenance, and technical troubleshooting tasks in support of Department of Horticulture operations.

College of Agricultural Sciences faculty are committed to enhancing student success by engaging students in quality academic, research, internships, global studies, and other experiential learning opportunities. Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty):

Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR An Associate's degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology and one year of general clerical experience. College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Requirements :

Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully and inclusively, both in writing and verbally, with a diverse audience.
A demonstrated commitment to timely and effective customer service.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer software comparable to Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and database management.
Must possess the ability to learn technical programs and requirements, applying them to procedures carried out on a daily basis, as well as experience in communicating these procedures to clientele.
Experience maintaining a website.
Ability to use social media (for example Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact positively with the public.
Evidence of ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work independently, in an open office space, and with frequent interruptions.
Demonstrated ability to perform multiple detail-oriented duties with an extremely high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
