General Overview:

The Warehouse Management Systems Consultant plays a pivotal role in collaborating with business stakeholders and IT personnel to collect and document essential information regarding requirements, testing, and the deployment of WMS solution enhancements and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate design workshops aimed at prototyping innovative systems to improve business operations, processes, and information flow; document risks and devise mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and review documentation in alignment with the corporate development framework.
- Develop and maintain a business model that accurately represents current workflows and business regulations.

- Oversee the Manhattan WMOS Product, manage SDN Deployments, troubleshoot performance challenges, and handle WMOS database refresh activities, including archiving and purge configuration.

- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance.

Core Duties:
- Engage in hands-on configuration of Manhattan WMOS WMS systems.
- Take charge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), encompassing requirements gathering, solution design, functional specifications, technical designs, coding, testing, and implementation of WMS solution enhancements and integrations.

- Develop customized shipping documentation, including packing slips and labels, tailored to customer business requirements using tools such as Jasper Soft, Mark Magic, and eFormz.

- Collaborate with implementation and program management teams to smoothly transition new customer projects into standard operational procedures.

- Build and sustain strong working relationships with colleagues, business partners, external clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in supporting, configuring, or implementing Manhattan WMOS WMS systems.

- At least five years of experience in Supply Chain Management with a solid understanding of Distribution and 3PL Logistics.

- Familiarity with tier 1 transportation management applications such as MetaPack, Connect Clip, Logistyx, or other leading multi-carrier parcel and LTL (Less than Truckload) and TL (Truck Load) shipping systems.

- Experience with related systems including Labor Management Systems (LMS), Yard Management Systems (YMS), and Warehouse Controls/Execution Systems (WCS/WES) integrated with Manhattan WMOS.

- Knowledge of interface mapping technologies such as EDI, tXML, and GS1 standards.

- Proficiency in various message broker technologies (e.g., Active MQ, IBM MQ, MIF), and strong skills in XML, HTML, SQL, API Testing, PL/SQL, UNIX Shell Scripting, and job scheduling tools (Control-M, Automic, etc.).

- Experience with barcode generation and usage, including GS1-128, EAN/UPC, Data Matrix, and QR Code.

- Ability to logically navigate challenges to create solutions that uphold business operations and contractual service level agreements.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.

Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms such as UNIX and/or Linux servers and Oracle relational databases is advantageous.
- A proactive, action-oriented self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and works effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
- Ability to adhere to policies and procedures, read, write, and interpret information, and perform basic mathematical operations.
- Capability to use hands for handling tasks and the ability to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods.
