ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance our expanding team.

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is tasked with evaluating the company's offerings to guarantee compliance with established standards and specifications.

Key responsibilities encompass executing test scenarios, developing and implementing automated testing scripts, generating defect documentation, and collaborating with Application Engineering to resolve issues.

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will engage in various testing methodologies:
functional, regression, usability, and load/performance testing.

Additionally, the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer collaborates closely with the Application Engineering Manager to ensure that products align with Waystar's quality benchmarks.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates expertise in specific areas of a Waystar engineered product (UI, back-end, X12, security, etc.)

Takes responsibility for project priorities, timelines, and deliverables

Capable of transforming intricate manual test cases into automated tests, including Web, service, and API tests, as well as tests without existing templates

Automated tests produced exhibit a high level of code readability and reusability, utilizing complex SQL scripting

Adept at analyzing functional requirements documents and identifying gaps in those requirements concerning the applicable product

Skilled in designing and executing load tests and comprehensive automated tests for complex systems

Develops, executes, and maintains manual tests and test cases within the software testing suite; follows up with leadership for test plan reviews and approvals, executes tests, and documents results and defects

Collaborates with Application Engineers to replicate and resolve issues related to the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of new or enhanced software features developed by Application Engineering

Ensures the quality of Application Engineering releases and verifies that their efforts meet functional requirements

Thoroughly understands and adheres to Application Engineering and QA processes and protocols

Within the scope of assignments, establishes and maintains comprehensive and precise documentation of work, communicating technical issues to Application Engineers, QA leadership, Lead Application Engineers, and Managers in Application Engineering

Analyzes and reproduces issues reported by Client Success; gathers a complete set of relevant data to accurately characterize the problem

Capable of coding simple productivity tools to enhance QA Engineering efficiency; able to extend the QA automated testing framework to enable other QA Engineers to create new types of tests

Additional responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools

5+ years of experience in writing SQL queries

2+ years of programming experience with C#

2+ years of experience programming with Selenium

Strong attention to detail

Ability to perform recurring tasks with accuracy

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

Self-driven and motivated

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance position is preferred

Experience with X12 or Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management is preferred

Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is preferred
