Children's Behavioral Health in Woodburn is hiring a mental health therapist to join our team. The prospective candidate will provide individual and family therapy, conduct mental health assessments, and provide other therapeutic supports such as case management and coordination of care.   • $2,000 bonus for employees new to Marion County starting on January 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. Bonus will be included in employee's first paycheck.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Provide assessment and treatment services; crisis intervention, including intensive services, to individuals and their families with complex needs and diagnoses; or develop and implement specific services in the community. Act as a task supervisor for interns and staff, provide clinical supervision to mental health professionals, to perform various advanced, specialized clinical and treatment services for individuals receiving services and their families.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Work under the general supervision of a manager or supervisor, who assigns work, establishes goals, and reviews the results for overall effectiveness. Per Oregon Health Authority, Behavioral Health Services Rule : Program staff providing direct services shall receive clinical supervision by a qualified clinical supervisor related to the development, implementation, and outcome of services, documentation of two hours per month of supervision for each individual supervised.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Primary supervision of employees is not a responsibility of this classification; however, positions may act as lead workers, as defined in the Marion County Personnel Rules. May assist in the supervision of interns and volunteers.

Typical Duties - Duties include, but are not limited to the following
  • Provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and Transition age youth in the Woodburn and surrounding communities.
  • Provides intake mental health assessments including screening for A/D issues.
  • Documents services to meet contract, administrative rule and billing requirements.
  • Expectation is that employee will strive for 30 hours per week to be scheduled with therapy, client support, committee work and approved training.
  • Provides consultation, training and orientation regarding mental health and co-occurring disorders treatment to team members, student interns and other professionals.
  • Provides case management services to clients.
  • Assists clients and families with accessing community supports/resources.
  • Assists with making referrals for services.
  • Other job duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Response Level 2: In the event of an emergency, employee makes a reasonable effort to report to work. Employee may be required to perform duties outside of their regularly assigned duties. Employee may be requested to work an extended or flexible schedule. Staff at this response level must complete Incident Command System 100 and 700 on-line or in-person training.

Requirements for the Position

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING State of Oregon licensure, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC) or Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT); ANDMaster's degree in psychology, social work, recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, or a behavioral science field; OR State of Oregon licensure, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC) OR Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT); ANDBachelor's degree in nursing or occupational therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon; ANDOne year of postgraduate degree experience in the behavioral health field.   • Must possess a current driver's license in the applicant's state of residence and an acceptable driving history.   • Typical Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with one (1) late clinic 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., with flexibility depending upon the needs of the department and program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Working knowledge of community mental health concepts, chemical dependency case management, and treatment services; individual assessment, treatment planning, and treatment protocols; mental health disorders and diagnostic classifications.

Ability to establish positive working relationships with other employees, individuals and their families, other agencies, and the public; prepare concise and complete clinical documentation related to individual treatment and progress in services in a timely and professional manner; work within a team and collaborate with team members; knowledge of and ability to act professionally regarding a code of ethics and confidentiality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Operates a motor vehicle; sees using depth perception; stands; sits; moves about the work area; climbs 1 floor of stairs; lifts up to 5 lbs.; (lifts, pushes, pulls and carries can be combined if same weight amounts); operates a keyboard; speaks clearly and audibly; reads a 12 pt. font; hears a normal (or whispered) level of speech.

Marion County offers a generous benefits package to regular employees working 50% or more of the regularly scheduled work week and their eligible dependents.
