Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform reception duties, including greeting and checking in clients, directing visitors, and managing clinic appointments.
  • Collect co-pays and insurance information as required.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff.
  • Take and relay messages as necessary.
  • Welcome clients and visitors, notifying relevant staff of their arrival.
  • Coordinate medical transportation for clients.
  • Verify client information and provide necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain organized records and files, both electronically and in hard copy.
  • Monitor the reception area and assist with appointment reminders.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the agency's mission and objectives.
  • Participate in staff meetings and planning sessions.
  • Foster effective communication and cooperative relationships within the agency and the community, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Previous experience in a reception role or relevant training preferred.
  • Familiarity with co-pays and insurance billing is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including automated appointment scheduling and word processing.

Work Environment: This position is situated in a typical outpatient medical department setting, characterized by a fast-paced atmosphere that requires adaptability to changing circumstances.
