Summary: The Assistant Athletic Director will be charged with developing and implementing a four year progressive leadership development curriculum for student-athletes. The Asst. AD will also provide operational support to the department with scheduling and game day management. In addition to the athletic department support, this position will also oversee Club Sports in collaboration with the Office of Student Involvement and be responsible for the on-boarding of Club Sport coaches and providing administrative support to club sport athletes. Finally, this position will also work with the Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID) to provide meaningful programming and workshops to the Athletics and Physical Education Staff.

Breakdown of Duties and Responsibilities:
• 60% Athletic Administration: Student-Athlete Leadership Development and Programming, Game Day coordinator (contracts and officials)
• 25% Oversee Club Sports in collaboration with the Office of Student Involvement
• 5% Liaison to the Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID) to provide meaningful programming and workshops to Athletics and Physical Education Staff
• 5% Assist Director of Athletics on special projects
• 5% Other duties as assigned

Education Experience Required: A Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education and Qualifications:

Master's Degree Eagerness to learn and grow Demonstrated ability to facilitate and present programming to student-athletes Demonstrated ability to develop progressive leadership programming for student-athletes Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple campus offices. Ability to utilize appropriate technology. Ability to take initiative and work autonomously as well as the ability to work as a team. Understanding of issues of diversity, especially issues of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, and sexuality, and how they intersect with other markers of identity. Understanding and appreciation of Mount Holyoke's curricular philosophy and demonstrated ability to both support student initiative and to encourage more inclusive community and leadership development. Computer literacy is required. Ability to work nights and weekends.
