Job Description:

Position Summary:

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the creation, proofing and publication of monthly, seasonal, and biannual Food Solution events. Your daily responsibilities will encompass multi-department communication and follow-up.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement at our corporate headquarters in Byron Center, MI.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Responsible to support implementation of Center Store Presell catalogs and events. Work directly with category managers and business planners to certify accuracy and integrity of item content, pricing, and timing.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments (i.e., purchasing, distribution, customer services, etc.) to ensure product is ordered, received and shipped on defined schedule; communicate any deviation and/or issues in collaboration with merchandising, sales and operations team.
  • Act as point of contact to address questions and inquiries from corporate or independent customers; provide guidance, solutions and execute an action plan for timely resolution of issues and deliver outstanding customer service. .
  • Assist management in providing periodic pre-sell reports to category management and external customers to support merchandising and procurement activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred, or combination of experience and education.
  • Three years' experience in Merchandising, Category Management, Marketing or related area.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong customer service skills.
  • Good organizational, prioritization, proofreading and attention to detail skills.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
