Job Summary

This role is responsible for maintaining and operating the produce department, ensuring that all products are trimmed and prepared according to company and department standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for weighing, packaging, and labeling products, as well as handling spoiled or damaged products. Additionally, they will be responsible for properly filling, rotating, and merchandising produce and floral shelves, cases, and displays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut, slice, and prepare produce as directed
  • Follow established procedures for culling, trimming, and storing product
  • Weigh, package, and label products
  • Handle spoiled or damaged products per established guidelines
  • Properly fill, rotate, and merchandise produce and floral shelves, cases, and displays
  • Notify the Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered
  • Practice suggestive selling techniques with customers
  • Maintain clean, attractive, and well-stocked departments
  • Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
  • Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
  • Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (GED) preferred
  • One year of retail or related experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Detail Oriented
