Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimation Specialist to join our team at J & S SIDING INC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing site surveys, drafting construction plans, and communicating with project managers, clients, and vendors to ensure accurate estimates and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct preliminary site surveys and site investigations
  • Draft various types of construction plans
  • Review and revise plans as needed
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, and vendors to ensure accurate estimates and budgets
  • Obtain subcontractor and supplier pricing for assigned projects
  • Assist in the development of preliminary construction schedules
  • Prepare pre-bid and contract scope descriptions for subcontractors and vendors
  • Help management in bidding on or determining cost and price of projects
  • Review material and labor costs to ensure accuracy and budget
Requirements:
  • Home and construction knowledge
  • Construction estimation experience (2 years preferred but will train the right person)
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus but not necessary
  • Customer service oriented approach
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Organizational skills
  • Microsoft office
  • Builder-trend is a plus
  • Team player attitude
