Key activities include:

  • Key leader in developing and executing company's Renewable Combined Heat and Power project
  • Oversee and support engineering, design, and execution work on existing and future projects
  • Develop strategies for the supply, reliability, and optimization of electricity to Par Pacific's fuel production facilities
  • Identify electric power supply options that will enhance the value of redeveloping a company property in Hawaii
  • Develop strategies to lower the carbon intensity of Par Pacific's fuel production through low carbon power sources
  • Monitor energy markets, government policies and macro trends
  • Selection, negotiation, purchasing, and optimization related to power supply
  • Exchange data and collaborate with the contracts, accounting, treasury, credit and risk departments

The Requirements

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. Additionally, qualified candidates will demonstrate:

  • At least fifteen years of professional experience to include engineering, operations, and project management
  • Expert level knowledge in project development and execution
  • Experience managing contractor and subcontractor relationships during project execution
  • Budgeting experience, request for proposal oversight, and cost management accountability
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in organization and time management
  • Project oversight experience and operational accountability for safety, compliance, environmental impact, budgeting, personnel selection,
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Master's degree in business or engineering preferred.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas industry, renewable energy, and power generation markets, infrastructure, and economics
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% to Hawaii, other company work locations, and for business development meetings with third parties

Our Refineries and Logistics Operations
