The Position Direct & coordinate the activities of the AP Modernization program. Lead the projects designed to modernize aseptic production including responsibility for project quality and Project Procurement & Engineering Management teams to support the production of Novo Nordisk products which meet or exceed business, regulatory & customer requirements in accordance with the Novo Nordisk Way. This includes providing direction, coaching & overseeing the management & supervision over the project management & engineering managers, specialists/professionals & consultants/contractors a combination of 100+ full-time employees and contract/contingent workers. Essential FunctionsLead, direct & coordinate the project management team(s) in the design of the overall project & in the development of the implementation plan & project timelinesIdentify & develop working relationships with impacted customers at all levels to include ensuring customer representatives are kept appropriately informed of project activities & are encouraged to participate as appropriateAdvise process teams representing customer needs regarding cross-functional considerations, workflow integration & coordination & optimization of best practicesProvide & ensure communication with & between project & customer management at critical points in the implementation of the project planIdentify, secure & coordinate implementation of internal & external resources & expertise as appropriate to achieve project objectivesEnsure that the project is proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets & expectations & adhering to established operating parameters; negotiates changes in project resources as necessary to achieve objectives & timelinesDesign, establish & maintain an organizational structure & staffing to effectively accomplish the goals & objectives of the project to include recruitment, training and overseeing and deploying technical & functional staff as appropriateDevelop & manage the transition work plans for all project team members, to include transitioning into the project & back to home departments upon completionOversee the supervision of project personnel, which includes work allocation, training & problem solution; evaluating performance & making recommendations for personnel actions and motivating employees to achieve peak productivity & performanceDevelop & manage project budgets & performs periodic cost & productivity analysesEnsure Project Managers follow (Product Supply) processes, to include guiding and coaching as necessaryParticipate in driving strategy & solutions in relation to project execution through collaboration with aseptic production team, FFEx project teams, & Project Steering Committee meetingsFollow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther accountabilities, as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.) Development of People Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Business from an accredited university requiredMinimum of ten (10) years of leadership experience, with a minimum of five (5) of these years leading leaders in a pharmaceutical industry environment requiredMinimum of twelve (12) years of experience in project management with major projects in excess of $20M required, preferably with experience in pharmaceutical industry aseptic, assembly & packaging production processes, devices & combination products requiredKnowledgeable in systems within pharmaceutical industries to include parenteral drug production is requiredKnowledgeable in the effective management required when working in complex organizations & in managing contractors to achieve project goals is requiredKnowledge of large CAPEX projects required, with focus on PMI/Novo Nordisk project management governance preferredStrong process improvement, systematic troubleshooting & problem-solving skills requiredExcellent verbal & written communication skills required We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
