About the Department

You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk's 50,000 employees.

FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. FF Expansions has a global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.

The Position

Provide management & local oversight for finance and procurement policies and procedures, perform internal audits and liaise with both internal and external auditors on behalf of NNPILP. The position will advise, support & assist the organization in the fulfillment of local, regional & global responsibilities in finance and procurement.

Reports to Manager.

Essential Functions

Internal Audit Function:Conduct audits procedures, identifies issues, reviews/analyzes evidence, and documents processesAssist in the planning of project activitiesDocument fieldwork in clear and concise workpapers according to department standardsAssist in determining that the Company's operating units are in compliance with corporate standard operating procedures and policiesPrepare audit reports by listing the findings and recommendations and informally reviews with management personnelAssist in development of the internal audit plan based on relevant work experiencePresent findings to Senior Leadership Team, to include suggestions and plans for improvementFinance and Procurement Improvement:Support Business Support in activities designed to streamline, automate, or otherwise improve processesLead improvements in processes based on Internal/External AuditsCollaborate with corporate and other stakeholders to determine best practices and lead implementation effortsTraining for Finance and Procurement Compliance:Oversee the development of training only for finance and procurement policy and proceduresProvide training to stakeholdersCollaborate with corporate team to ensure all policies and procedures are updated to reflect current practicesFinance/Procurement liaison for (GIA) Group Internal AuditSupport external financial/ procurement audits & inquiriesSupport ad hoc projects as required by local, regional, or global stakeholdersProvide support, assistance & back-up to all finance processes, as assignedFollow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther accountabilities, as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role). QualificationsBachelor Science in finance, accounting, economics, or related field from an accredited university requiredCertified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or advanced degree such as master's from an accredited university in lieu of CPA certification requiredMinimum ten (10) years of public accounting/auditing experience or minimum fifteen (15) years of corporate finance/accounting/procurement experience in private industry requiredPharmaceutical industry experience preferredFinance/Procurement acumen requiredStrong analytical skills requiredKnowledge of business processes in manufacturing & operations preferredStrong ability to think strategically and resolve complex issues requiredProficiency in MS office products & working knowledge of databases & spreadsheets for use in tax applications requiredInternal auditing experience and process knowledge requiredAbility to demonstrate effective communication skills with all levels of the organization requiredPresentation skills requiredAbility to establish credibility & influence with diverse audiences requiredStrong process improvement, problem solving & organizational skills requiredHighly motivated & energetic, willingness to lead projects & take initiative requiredAbility to manage & prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment & to navigate between business areas within the legal entity requiredExperience working with senior management in a corporate environment with access to confidential information requiredUnderstanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, COBIT and COSO Internal Control frameworks required We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
