Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno seeks candidates for the Manager, Outreach and Community Engagement. This position reports to the Vice President, Governmental Relations and Community Engagement.

The Manager contributes to building an inclusive University community deeply connected to the communities we serve. This position connects students and faculty to bring their knowledge and expertise to the private sector to build a beneficial exchange of knowledge.

The position involves managing three key areas: Community Outreach and Development, Application Management, and Data Analysis and Reporting.

In Community Outreach, responsibilities include developing engagement strategies, building partnerships with external organizations, and fostering relationships with on-campus faculty and staff.

The Application Management aspect focuses on overseeing the submission of the Carnegie Elective Classification, collaborating with service-learning partners, and ensuring project efficiency.

The Data Analysis and Reporting component involves reviewing research data, supporting university-wide data collection efforts, and tracking community engagement metrics.

The successful candidate will have strong collaboration, project management, and analytical skills, with an emphasis on enhancing community connections and contributing to the university's mission.

Governmental Relations and Community Engagement

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR

Master's Degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
