You will play an important role in inspiring, motivating, and engaging McAfee employees globally and will do so leveraging modern and innovative communications tactics with a multi-channel approach. You will work closely with our executive team, helping to devise strategies that move the needle while executing with precision. Your ability to create a vision and be able to execute on that vision will be key to your success in this role.

This is a remote position; however, you will be required to be onsite at our Frisco, TX office on as-needed basis – likely 1-2 days a week, with flexibility around this. We will only consider candidates who are a commutable distance to Frisco or Dallas and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
Job Description:


About the role:

• Lead the development and execution of global employee communication strategies to drive employee engagement and alignment with McAfee's direction and corporate goals.

• Develop and execute innovative ways to communicate, inform, and engage a diverse, global employee base

• Strengthen McAfee's culture and values in communications and engagement efforts across the organization, including employee events, CSR, and DE&I activity

• Work with leaders across the business to develop communications strategies in support of organizational goals

• Interface with peers and leaders across the globe for employee engagement events and activity (examples include, Global Community Service Day, speaker events for diversity celebrations, support on Town Hall events.)

• Work with direct reports across employee communications, events and engagement, and digital recruitment to ensure alignment to company strategy

• Create communications on behalf of our leadership team, including messaging for global all-employee meetings, organization announcements, videos, presentations, social media, etc.

• Partner with colleagues to drive culture and inclusion efforts. Activity ranges from driving the rollout of new DE&I initiatives, supporting global events and social causes, Great Place to Work awards and initiatives

• Help drive the creation and execution of campaigns to boost employee engagement (corporate social responsibility, inclusion and diversity, and more) and inform on important People Success business (benefits, compensation, and more)

• Ability to capture the authentic voice of leadership in written communications and help shape the internal communications narrative

• Oversee employee Intranet (SharePoint) and MSFT Teams strategy and work with direct reports to drive continuous improvements

• Promote McAfee's employer brand by partnering with social media and recruitment teams on joint activities that align to recruitment goals

• Oversee employee communications editorial calendar and year-round planning

• Provide writing, editing, and execution support across a wide variety of projects

• Drive the collection, analysis and report out of communication measurement metrics and related action plans

• Manage a team of 5 direct reports

About you:


• At least 8 years (we'd love more) of experience in employee or corporate communications

• Proven and experienced Communications Leader passionate about people, strategy, and delivering tangible business results

• BA/BA/BBA degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or equivalent experience preferred

• Experience in Intranet and web publishing tools such as SharePoint or WordPress

• Proficient in email communication tactics and best practices. Experience using email tools (PoliteMail, Populo, or similar)

• Excellent copywriting and verbal skills - proficient in AP style

• Experience working in a B2C environment

• Excited and energized about creative and innovative communications and have a pulse on latest trends and how they can be applied

• Experience coaching and mentoring a team of world-class communicators

• A strong eye for design – ability to oversee content creation with strong graphics and imagery that tell a compelling a story

• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to oversee and drive multiple projects at once

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment; comfortable with ambiguity

• Enjoy both the strategic and tactical aspects of your role
