Maintenance Planner/Scheduler - Freeport, TX

This position assigned has responsibilities for the planning and scheduling of the Plant Maintenance. The main responsibility is to deliver and maintain the planning and scheduling process updated, spare parts management and outage support to meet with the Plant reliability goals, perform as necessary to achieve functionality and safety obligations, and maximize system capability.

Formula for Success: You Will...

Manage the Planner backlog define by the following Work Order Status codes EST, INPL, APPR, APRT,PFCT.

Complete job plans to ensure the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance work.

Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Specialist in the timely execution of emergency or critical priority jobs

Manage the spare part inventory and reposition needs, within budget.

Create purchase requisitions and reservations for necessary materials, equipment, or services and orders material.

Continually update task lists to ensure: 1) necessary changes or improvements are incorporated, and 2) efficiencies are captured per job feedback forms

Build and validate job kits (transitional task) and Validate daily schedule (from weekly schedule)

Facilitate weekly scheduling meeting with Production and Maintenance for resource balancing to ensure job schedules meet the timing requirements of production

Develop weekly resource multi-craft schedule based upon negotiated production unit priorities and current business environment to optimize the use of area-wide

Work with the Maintenance Gatekeepers and Daily Execution Managers to handle schedule breakers based on process needs and the current business environment

Provide input into staffing changes that may be necessary based on historical trends and forecasts, including shutdowns, outages, and turnarounds

Education

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree on Maintenance related areas; and demonstrable experience working in Maintenance in the Chemical Industry and related projects. In addition to demonstrating strong experience in maintenance work.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of operations experience in a chemical/petrochemical or other similar manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred batch plant experience

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling process.
  • Working knowledge of Maintenance spare part management.
  • Strong understanding of SAP.
  • Practical experience in plant troubleshooting.
  • Must have good communication skills and ability to work in a matrix organization.
