At Regions, the Software Engineer Senior Manager manages two or more large departments within the company and oversees strategy development to ensure the application portfolio meets current business requirements and is operational, stable, and at an appropriate level of technical maturity.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within area of responsibility
  • Serves as the primary technology contact for senior management from all areas of the organization in developing technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for area of responsibility
  • Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance
  • Applies interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and assures compatibility of all interfaces
  • Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processes

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Twelve (12) years of relevant experience
  • Three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience

Preferences

  • Experience in Technology role in banking or financial services industry

Seeking a successful, self-directing, high-energy leader capable of leading multiple teams across several functions, platforms, and providers simultaneously in support of Debit Card, Credit Card, ATM, Cash Vault, Garnishments, and miscellaneous financial transaction processing. Selected candidate will have experience leading platform, portfolio, application, technology, and process transformations. Candidate demonstrates ability to thrive in fast-paced, challenging environments and able to lead and direct autonomously, achieving successful/desired outcomes, with limited guidance. Possesses executive bearing and polish. Able to interface and present at all levels. Leads with confidence, integrity and with an entrepreneurial mindset and instills/promotes the same in others. Must be willing to travel as needed (up to 50% of time).

Preferences

  • 7 or more years providing direct leadership over ATM, Cash Vault, and miscellaneous transaction processing technology, applications, and teams.
  • 7 or more years experience working with and managing vendor relationships inclusive of Glory, Diebold-Nixdorf, FIS, TSYS, NCR
  • 7 or more years leading and supporting ATM driver software inclusive of development, 3rd party package deployments, incident management and recovery.
  • 5 years or more leading and supporting cash vault software and functions both centralized and decentralized.
  • 7-10 years experience in progressively more complex leadership positions working with mainframe, distributed and cloud technologies.
  • 10 years experience working inside a top 5 US consumer bank.
  • 2+ years experience working within or leading transition to Agile and/or Kanban delivery methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high performing teams operating in complex and stressful environments.

This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary location being Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$166,123.02 USD

50th Percentile:

$244,020.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.Location:Charlotte, North Carolina
