Overview of the Position:

This position will take charge of the Wells Fargo Global Transaction Reporting framework and collaborate closely with the Regulatory Reporting Product Owner and their team. The role encompasses oversight of operations across three major global regions: Americas, EMEA, and APAC. A deep understanding of OTC products and their lifecycle is essential to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in our non-financial regulatory reporting.

This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a critical function of regulatory reporting within the bank's Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) sector. With regulations evolving annually and heightened scrutiny on non-financial regulatory reporting from both internal and external stakeholders, the role allows for the application of continuous improvement methodologies to enhance the reporting ecosystem. Additionally, this individual will participate in modernization initiatives across the broader Wholesale Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams of skilled engineers and engineering managers in complex roles, focused on delivering high-quality solutions utilizing modern technologies.
  • Collaborate with Operations to design and validate new regulatory reporting functionalities.
  • Drive continuous enhancements to the regulatory reporting platform in partnership with Operations.
  • Improve system performance and stability through strategic enhancements.
  • Contribute to the definition and delivery of future state reporting architecture.
  • Identify and mitigate technology risks proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with Banking Platform Architecture and meet non-functional requirements with each release.
  • Engage with architects and experienced engineers to align with Wells Fargo Technology strategies, including cloud readiness and application modernization.
  • Act as the technical liaison for the product during collaborative efforts across teams.
  • Facilitate the resolution of technology roadblocks, managing the software development lifecycle and adhering to security standards.
  • Develop strategies to support scrum masters and teams in achieving moderate to high-risk deliverables while fostering a culture of learning and improvement.
  • Enhance engineering skills through hands-on involvement in the codebase, conducting peer reviews, and guiding design efforts.
  • Ensure security, stability, and scalability in technology functions with moderate complexity, while managing and mitigating risks.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers/Product Owners to enhance user satisfaction and influence technology requirements in the product roadmap.
  • Interact with third-party vendors and technology service providers as necessary.
  • Manage resource allocation to meet commitments aligned with strategic technology objectives.
  • Recruit and cultivate a culture of talent development to ensure the team possesses the necessary skills to deliver innovative solutions that align with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 3+ years of management experience, including overseeing remote teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in non-financial regulatory reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen in Corporate and Investment Banking.
  • Experience with booking models for OTC derivatives.
  • Collaboration with Operations, Compliance, and Business Unit partners on regulatory deliverables.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of data architecture principles.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and time zones.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • This role offers a hybrid work schedule.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.

Compensation and Benefits:

Wells Fargo provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to protect the physical and financial well-being of eligible employees. Benefits include a 401(k) plan, paid time off, parental leave, health benefits, and tuition reimbursement, among others.
