Position Overview:

The Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) division is dedicated to delivering technological solutions that support various operational functions. This encompasses areas such as operational management, strategic execution, data services, and customer experience. TCOO is responsible for the modernization and optimization of application portfolios across these sectors.

We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a global team of platform engineers. This role is pivotal in ensuring robust support for users, applications, and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled engineers and engineering managers, focusing on the creation of high-quality solutions using contemporary technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with the Banking Platform Architecture and fulfill non-functional requirements for each release.
  • Collaborate with architects and seasoned engineers to integrate Wells Fargo Technology strategies, facilitating application migration and modernization efforts.
  • Act as the technical liaison during collaborative planning and cross-team initiatives.
  • Identify and propose solutions to expedite the resolution of technological challenges, overseeing the software development lifecycle and maintaining security standards.
  • Develop strategies to assist scrum masters and teams in achieving deliverables while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Engage in hands-on coding, conduct peer reviews, and guide design processes to ensure alignment with technical objectives.
  • Manage technology risks by ensuring security, stability, and scalability in complex technological functions.
  • Work closely with Product Managers/Product Owners to enhance user satisfaction and influence the product roadmap with innovative solutions.
  • Interact with third-party vendors and technology service providers to optimize service delivery.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet commitments and align with strategic technology objectives.
  • Cultivate a culture of talent development to ensure the team possesses the necessary skills for innovative solution delivery.
  • Drive observability and telemetry requirements in collaboration with development partners.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years in Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in both Front and Back office support.
  • Proven experience in cloud migration practices for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Experience in incident and problem management for at least 3 years.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools such as Splunk or AppDynamics for 3 years.
  • Management experience of 3 years is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong executive presence and facilitation skills.
  • Proficient in delivering effective written and verbal communications tailored to the audience.
  • Ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
  • Extensive experience in System Engineering and Production Platform Services.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning architectures.

Job Expectations:
