Description

RN Clinical Supervisor in the Operating Room at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is full-time and will work 12-hour Evening shifts.

The Clinical Supervisor (CS) is a responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager or Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit. It is expected that the CS manages and coordinates the unit, directs and supervises caregivers, functions and activities, interprets policies/procedures/protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate. CSs scope of responsibility spans all aspects of nursing care. The CS maintains clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Clinical Supervisors employed prior to 1/1/17 who have not obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing are required to obtain BSN within 3 years from 1/1/17.
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • ANCC recognized specialty certification upon hire (or within 1 year of hire). For clinical supervisors hired prior to February 16, 2022 who have not obtained an AACN recognized specialty certification, must obtain within 1 year from 2/16/2022.
  • 1 year recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital in specialty area.
  • 1 year Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Shared Governance experience.
