Position Overview

Salary: $2,280/week + bonus

BrightStar Care of Santa Barbara County is seeking a committed and skilled RN Clinical Nurse Supervisor with experience in infusion therapy to become part of our exceptional team. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor will deliver direct in-home care while ensuring outstanding customer service to patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intakes, accurately document information in the system, and coordinate nurse schedules.
  • Provide in-home patient care for at least 10 hours weekly, including IV therapy, medication management, and wound care.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, pharmacy representatives, and account managers.
  • Oversee quality assurance for nursing documentation.
  • Manage patient and client discharges.
  • Exhibit attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for nursing staff.
  • Understand and apply medical records management principles and professional standards.
  • Interpret and enforce relevant policies and regulations.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and tact in interactions with healthcare providers and clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Director of Nursing and Home Health Administrator.
  • Maintain flexible office hours, typically from early morning to mid-afternoon.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call duties, responding to messages and calls on a rotational basis.

Qualifications

  • Valid and unrestricted RN license in California.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
  • Demonstrated experience in infusion therapy, including administration and oversight.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Negative TB test results or chest x-ray.
  • Physical examination completed within the required timeframe.
  • Compliance with HIPAA regulations and commitment to client confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in scheduling and billing is preferred.
  • Advanced degree with two years of experience in a patient care environment, including one year in infusion therapy, or a combination of relevant experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call duties as needed.
  • Professional demeanor and respect for clients, team members, and the public.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and responding to sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work accurately and on time.
  • Experience in IV therapy is preferred.
