Job description


Manifest Independence LLC is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and empathetic individual to work as a direct care provider for a two person group home in Milwaukie.

Shift availability is Monday thru Thursday 7am-3pm. $20 per hour to start with a 5% annual raise and PTO/Sick time available upon eligibility. Manifest Independence also pays for mileage (while customer is in vehicle) and other reimbursements. A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle is vital to this position.

Must also have an updated cell phone to clock in to our timekeeping app.

  • Apple users need to be running iOS 11.1 or newer
  • Android users need to be running Nougat 7.1.1 or newer

The 41-year-old female requires assistance with:
Transportation (appointments, grocery shopping, etc.)

Housekeeping

Cooking

Healthy meal planning

Scheduling appointments

She does many of the chores around the home (with some light direction and assistance).

The 67-year-old male lives with a type 2 diabetes diagnosis, and needs support in the area of general hygiene. Experience in these tasks preferred.

Full support in showering and shaving

Checking body (most importantly legs) for wounds

Application of skin barrier creams

Applying compression socks daily

Physical therapy (light exercise)

Massaging knees for arthritis

Manifest Independence LLC provides services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Manifest contracts with the Oregon Department of Human Services to provide case management, resources, and access to in-home support services.

Job Qualifications:
1+ years working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred

Must be kind

Must be organized

Must be self-motivated

Must be patient

Must have great communication skills, with an ability to speak and write in English

Must be able to use email and have basic computer skills

Must be able to pass criminal history check

First Aid/CPR certification (provided if necessary)
