USC Department of Surgery is recruiting an Assistant Research Administrator.

The Assistant Research Administrator will assist in the preparation of routine proposals within parameters of sponsored and non-sponsored research guidelines, assist in the development, preparation and finalization of project budgets, serve as liaison and active partner between principal investigators, Office of Sponsored Research, research groups, and other departments.

The Assistant Research Administrator will also collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Research to ensure awards are set up properly, including cost-sharing awards, if applicable, review and understand the terms and conditions of sponsored projects administered, initiate expenditures, download and monitor reports supporting project status, participate in contract close out process and audit inquiries and coordinate and organize events related to sponsored projects.

Knowledge of research and grant accounting and submission of proposals and budgets is preferred.

The hourly range for this position is $ $36.00.
