Job Description

The Automation Project Engineer will:

Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for various manufacturing processes, including but not limited to robotic systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and production managers to integrate automation systems into existing manufacturing workflows.Conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for automation projects.Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure seamless operation.Troubleshooting automation systems and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.Performing regular maintenance, upgrades, and calibration of automation equipment to ensure reliability and adherence to safety standards.Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gains.Provide training and technical support to production personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Automation Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal manufacturing.Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMI development, and SCADA systems.Experience with PCS7, STEP7, TIA, SCADA automation systems.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
