Control Systems Specialist (DeltaV)

Location: Corpus Christi, TX

Contech Control Services is in search of collaborative professionals with practical expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS), particularly in Emerson DeltaV configuration, graphical interfaces, system design, and programming for plant control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

The Control System Specialist will undertake a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Designing, specifying, selecting, and providing services related to control systems, encompassing basic process control systems, safety systems, and communication networks.
  • Planning, budgeting, organizing, and managing a significant segment of a typical automation project.
  • Assisting in the development of control philosophies and functional specifications.
  • Updating the project manager on progress for inclusion in client reports.
  • Ensuring the quality of the control system components of the project.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Control System Specialist position should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV configuration.
  • Experience with other Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), DCS, PLC, or HMI systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with batch configuration is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in control system engineering.
  • Proven track record in technical execution on both Front-End Loading (FEL)/Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects within the chemical and petrochemical sectors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software applications.

Working Conditions:

  • Employment Type: Full Time, Comprehensive Benefits, Permanent Position
  • Standard Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Overtime: Occasionally available, compensated at an hourly rate
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 20%
