Position Overview
The Electrical Engineer plays a crucial role in providing expert technical support and solutions for various project teams, operational functions, and maintenance activities. This position requires a deep understanding of the Most Effective Technology (MET), work processes, tools, and industry best practices within the electrical engineering discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection and Engineering: Ensure that all drawings and specifications are clear and align with business requirements. Conduct timely reviews and ensure compliance by fabricators, constructors, and maintenance contractors during inspections.
- Project Leadership: Act as the project leader within the electrical discipline, accountable for project outcomes and adherence to established work processes and best practices. Facilitate front-end loading to define project scope clearly and establish effective plans and schedules for execution.
- Coordinate activities within the electrical discipline and with other engineering disciplines to ensure project deliverables meet expectations in functionality, timing, and budget.
- Lead the development of technical contract packages and support their implementation, driving value engineering and economic designs to optimize business value.
- Ensure safety is prioritized in all design aspects.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Eligibility to work legally in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Skills
Experience with electric motors and power distribution is advantageous.
