Job SummaryService Delivery Engineer
Position reports to Tetra Pak headquarters at 3300 Airport Rd., Denton, TX 76207, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.
Approximately 20% international and domestic travel required.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
As a Service Delivery Engineer, you will:
Execute L1 and L2 Capital Equipment installations at our customer sites according to the ItP process. Execute, plan, and coordinate preventive maintenance activities, ensuring agreed performance of Tetra Pak lines. Reinstate lines into production according to procedures. Execute installation of relevant rebuilding kits/upgrades according to procedures and reinstate lines into production. Execute analysis and troubleshoot to resolve mechanical and automation issues. Conduct systematic root cause analysis of problems to enable permanent resolution. Report and manage all discovered technical issues according to the QTIM process, escalate to next appropriate level in a timely manner, and provide a proper problem description to ensure rapid resolution. Inform relevant Tetra Pak Field staff about ongoing service activities as well as of any issues affecting the customer or the quality of Tetra Pak service. Identify business opportunities and share them with technical sales. Suggest solutions and support technical sales activities. Conduct relevant customer training. Participate in building relationships with customer staff and relevant colleagues in own Market Company. Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak to ensure good working relationships with the customer and that TP's reputation
is sustained. Share knowledge and support the building of skills of colleagues. Execute and complete all relevant reports in an accurate and timely way. Distribute reports according to existing procedures and ensure that proper handover is done. Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all relevant technical documentation. Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer safety regulations and requirements and promote a safe working culture in the team. Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak standards and requirements regarding product quality and food safety. Address all discovered food safety, quality assurance and regulatory issues.
Three years of experience in the food packaging or processing industry.
Must have work experience with:
1. Electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding services using Rockwell and Siemens.
2. Installation tasks including the assembly of complete systems and relevant rebuilding/upgrade kits for the maintenance and commissioning of food processing systems.
3. Executing and completing all relevant reports including Technical Assistant Reports (TAR) in an accurate and timely way and in accordance with OSHA regulations and requirements.
4. Addressing set-up and customer support requests and issues for sterilizers and equipment through remote support when off-site.
5. Performing manufacturing equipment installation, controls/automation, maintenance, and service work.
6. Working on automation systems including Allen Bradley frequency drives, Profibus, Siemens PLC programming software, Rockwell RSLogix 5, 500, 5000 PLC programming software, Intouch (WonderWare), Device Net, ABB, and Danfoss frequency drives.
