Supply Chain Manager

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of production scheduling, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, supplier development, and materials management. The Supply Chain Manager will ensure their team continuously improves and meets or exceeds key performance metrics related to these functions.
Position Requirements:
- Drive performance management and improvement in the Supply Chain function across key metrics: production schedule adherence, inventory turnover, accuracy, material usage variance, on-time delivery to customers, on-time delivery from suppliers, global freight costs, and departmental expense management.
- Lead the Supply Chain team in collaborating with Engineering during the APQP process, auditing process effectiveness, optimizing customer communication channels, providing accurate planning data, and ensuring quality system compliance.
- Optimize and utilize the MRP system to enhance customer delivery, production scheduling, supplier coordination, inventory control, and materials management while ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Support the RFQ process for logistics, customer-specific requirements, and packaging.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain team, focusing on implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Coordinate production schedules with manufacturing teams ensuring that production plans align with supply chain capabilities and demand forecasts.
- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team. Provide training and development opportunities for team members and foster a collaborative and innovative environment
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to established safety policies, practices, and all company policies.
- Maintain compliance with current customer-specific requirements as applicable.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the overall business goals.
- Develop and manage inventory policies and procedures that establish inventory levels that optimize stock while minimizing costs.
- Oversee the transportation and distribution of incoming products from suppliers and finish products to customers. Oversee warehouse operations, coordination of logistics providers and logistics costs.
- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards and implement and maintain sustainable supply chain practices that engage in fair trade practices and promotes ethical behavior and social responsibility within the supply chain.
- Manage the department's budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with relevant department personnel.
- Lead efforts to identify and resolve advanced, high profile issues quickly and efficiently.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and long-term vision of the worldwide technical capacity of facilities.
- Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education:
- Bachelor's degree, required.
- APICs-CPIM/CIRM certification, preferred.
- Experience in implementing, optimizing and sustaining an ERP System, required.
- Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement and Automotive manufacturing, preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience to be considered, required
