About the Role

As a (Senior) Marine Underwriter you will play an instrumental role shaping our Marine & Energy underwriting portfolio and will be a key contributor in driving our strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Underwrite Marine & Energy treaty reinsurance business for the various Ocean Marine classes including Cargo, Hull, Liability, Offshore Energy and Recreational Marine with a focus on United States and Canadian markets. Work closely with ceding companies and brokers on reinsurance programs, understand what drives buying decisions and tailor reinsurance programs. Perform technical and actuarial assessment for costing/pricing treaty reinsurance, contract wording review, overall deal life-cycle management. Maintain and develop close, trust based relationships with dedicated clients, marine executives, and brokers. Promote Swiss Re Global Marine activities through external networks, social media, interviews, market events and conferences.

For Armonk, NY, and New York, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position is $112,000 to $246,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
