Ryan Companies uses a unique integrated delivery process that involves architecture, engineering, construction, development, real estate management, and capital markets. Ryan's integrated process requires an individual to be able to work in a proactive and positive manner in tandem with local teams and cross-regionally within a national design practice.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Participate in creating a complete, thorough set of Interior Design documents to meet project goals, milestones, and schedule
  • Participate in all phases of the interiors project scope from programming to construction administration, with specific attention to interior-related building codes, interior detail documentation, and constructability
  • Participate in development and implementation of an overall design palate that supports the aesthetic, budget, and functional goals of the project
  • Advice client on appropriate interior finish and material selections
  • Collaborate with healthcare project team and clients during programming and planning efforts
  • Lead design meetings, consultant meetings, and project team meetings
  • Independently solve problems and apply basic principles of design
  • Collaborate to resolve unusual or complex technical issues
  • Participate in interior design code review and implement requirements
  • Identify and communicate deviations in project scope
  • Direct, supervise, and mentor junior staff

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be able to problem-solve and design both as part of a collaborative team and independently. Candidates with at least 4 years of healthcare-specific experience are most likely to be successful, however those with unique career experience or display clear potential for the role will be considered. Relevant professional work experience in healthcare design, including the design of acute care, ambulatory care, and medical office buildings is required. You must also have a strong a knowledge of building regulations, Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI), safety codes, and Revit.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • A professional interior design degree
  • Interior Design licensure
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Enscape, Sketchup, and/or Bluebeam
  • LEED AP and/or WELL AP certification
  • EDAC or other healthcare accreditation

Eligibility:

  • Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation:

The base pay is $XX,000 - $XX,000 per year. The annual base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
