Job Title: Product Release Engineer II

Type: Contract - 6 Months

Pay: $45.00-$65.00

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Overview: The Product Release Engineer II operates under general supervision to deliver comprehensive global product release assistance and direction for executing the release of design for release product engineering (RPE) initiatives. This role also provides necessary support for the introduction of new products (NPI) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis and troubleshooting while applying technical expertise to RPE initiatives.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of engineering projects, ensuring appropriate project-level documentation is generated.
  • Monitor project progress and contribute to enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and finalize plans, reports, or other documentation in accordance with applicable company procedures.
  • Guide cross-functional partners in product release strategy and execution.
  • Offer technical knowledge and project direction to global teams supporting unified processes and systems.
  • Support the development of solutions that align with business objectives for product release.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment in areas such as Configuration Management, Development, and related Operations functions.
  • Define the direction for new products, processes, standards, or operational plans by creating and implementing solutions to complex challenges.
  • Oversee production support engineering regarding the technical feasibility of product configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems and maintain high-quality work outputs.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • Master's degree in engineering or a technical field with 6+ months of relevant experience.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in a medical device setting.
  • Familiarity with FDA, ISO, EN, and/or GMP standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in common software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Adobe Reader).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in process definition and improvement.
  • Formal training in Product Data or Lifecycle Management systems.
  • Capacity to learn and adapt to evolving technology, processes, or requirements.

Essential Skills:

  • Quality engineering experience or education, focusing on quality processes and ensuring quality in work outputs.
  • Packaging engineering experience or education, specifically in final pack configurations design.
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Word, SharePoint/OneDrive/Teams.

Daily Activities:

  • Support for final pack configuration design and new end item configuration setup.
  • Release support including Product Release checklists and authorizations for physical products and software.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests related to end items and product release.
