What You Will Do:

The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, implementation, management, and monitoring of both current and new audiovisual systems for a prominent client in Huntsville and at various locations nationwide. The systems encompass Briefing Display Systems, Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Systems, and Video wall systems among others.

The candidate should feel at ease creating schedules and timelines for the necessary tasks that will need to be reviewed by leaders. Collaborating with other teams, such as system administration and telecommunications engineers, will be vital to validate and verify the functionality of new audiovisual systems.

You will be required to deliver status updates or present challenges and solutions to the team and client. Ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical individuals in a polished manner is a must.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, acquire, and deploy audiovisual systems
  • Develop installation design plans (IDP) for audiovisual equipment
  • Create new audiovisual solutions or enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of existing equipment.
  • Establish Bill of Materials (BOM) for audiovisual equipment
  • Provide updates on progress, issues, and suggestions to key stakeholders
  • Devise equipment lifecycle management plans for multiple sites within a significant government entity
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure security compliance and ATO status for all audiovisual systems.
  • Refer to engineering drawings, technical specifications, electrical blueprints, and schematics to guarantee seamless integration of new equipment into current systems.
  • Proficient in IP addresses and intersystem communications
What You Will Need:
  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT Top Secret federal security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Audio/Visual Engineering or a related field, or an additional 4 years of experience in audiovisual systems if lacking a degree.
  • At least 8 years of experience working with audiovisual systems.
  • Foundational knowledge of Crestron Programming, CTI-P101, or equivalent experience with Crestron.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Security+ Certification
  • Proficiency in Crestron NVX, Legacy DM, and Programming
  • Intermediate Systems Programming - CTI-P201
  • DM Certified Engineering DMC-E-4K
  • Understanding of network protocols for video streaming
  • RMF/Cyber comprehension
  • Member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers
  • Knowledge of Electronic Industries Association Standards
  • Expertise in International Telecommunications Union Defined Standards
  • Completion of SMPTE Training
  • AVIXA Training
